It addresses preventable harm caused by delayed access to specialist Parkinson\u2019s therapy, including falls, functional decline and avoidable hospital admissions. Through timely home-based interventions, the team has reduced waiting times by 90 per cent, reduced the cost of healthcare, improved quality of life and reduced the risk of complications, such as falls and fractures.
