\n Footwear and accessories retailer Dune<\/a> London is looking at strategic options, including a possible sale or bringing in a new investor, as Daniel Rubin makes plans for the business after he retires.<\/p>\n

Rubin founded the chain and is also its chair and reports said he\u2019s appointed FTI Consulting\u2019s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to look at the options, although no decision has been made and the process is still in its early stages. The company said the process is \u201cexploratory\u201d for now.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old UK-born business is already international with a presence in 37 markets and 1,000+ points of sale in EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. It has a sizeable store chain, a major webstore business and concessions in key department\/multibrand stores such as Fenwick<\/a>, Next<\/a>, and Frasers in Britain, and Nordstrom<\/a> and Dillard\u2019s in the important US market.<\/p>\n

Management is aiming to accelerate growth at home and especially abroad, which currently accounts for around a third of sales but it believes has potential for over 50% in a relatively short period.<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s a long-established name in the footwear and accessories category, its most recent set of results for the year to February 2025 saw its operating losses widening as sales dipped. Results for the following financial year haven\u2019t yet been released and are due by the end of this month.\n <\/p>\n
