At long last, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are scheduled to face each other and yesterday\u2019s press conference seemed to remove any doubt that the show could collapse<\/a>. Although, \u2018AJ\u2019 has now revealed what would make him withdraw from the long-awaited clash.<\/p>\n

Joshua and Fury have been linked to one another for a number of years, but it wasn\u2019t until April 2026 that fans genuinely began to believe that the in-demand bout would take place, as Fury made a beeline for Joshua after defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, despite both men appearing in \u2018warm-up\u2019 bouts in July, hopes of witnessing the clash reduced, as Joshua\u2019s promoter Eddie Hearn refused to proceed with the event if he and his fighter\u2019s contracts were not adhered to; unwilling to allow Zuffa Boxing CEO Dana White to be involved and demanding that the fight takes place in the United Kingdom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yet, over the last week, those issues have been ironed out, and yesterday, the launch press conference<\/a> for the blockbuster event finally took place.<\/p>\n

However, speaking to talkSPORT Boxing<\/a>, Joshua maintained that he would still be prepared to cancel the bout if White\u2019s potential involvement prompted Hearn to \u2018pull the plug\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy loyalty is with Eddie, so whatever he wants to do, if he wants to pull the plug \u2013 I will be right there, tugging that plug with him.\u201d<\/p>\n
