Ian Huntley <\/a>has sparked fury with his choice of clothing in prison with inmates branding him a “sick b*****d”.<\/p>\n

The disappearance of schoolgirls Holly Wells<\/a> and Jessica Chapman<\/a> in August 2002 saw more than 400 police officers descend on the sleepy Cambridgeshire town of Soham. Alongside volunteers, they worked around the clock in a bid to find the two 10-year-old missing bestmates.<\/p>\n

The pair had vanished as they left a family barbecue to get some sweets from the leisure centre vending machine, but ended up being lured into the home of evil school caretaker Ian Huntley<\/a>. He and his partner, Maxine Carr, spoke to the press about the schoolchildren and joined in with the desperate search.<\/p>\n

Only it transpired that Huntley was hiding a disturbing secret, that he was their callous murderer.<\/p>\n

On August 20, Huntley was charged with two counts of murder and sentenced to two terms of life imprisonment, with a minimum of 40 years behind bars. Huntley, who will not be considered for release until 2042 at the earliest. The murderer is at constant risk of attack from other prisoners and has had a string of health problems and suicide attempts behind bars.<\/p>\n

Now 51, he is serving a life term at HMP Frankland, Durham, where sources say he has been wearing a No10 Manchester<\/a> United-style shirt \u2014 an apparent sick reference to his ten-year-old victims Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.<\/p>\n

A source said: \u201cHe\u2019s been seen strutting about in the shirt as if it\u2019s funny. It is vile.\u201d Huntley was called a \u201csick b****d\u201d by inmates for wearing the football top \u2014 and responded with a thumbs-up, reports The Sun.<\/a><\/p>\n

Inmates there say he has been \u201cstrutting about\u201d in the plain red sports top with No10 on the back, which he is thought to have ordered from Sports Direct. A souce said: “\u201cEveryone thinks he is doing it to satisfy his own sick mind, rather than for football reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe started wearing it when it became hot enough this year and is often seen in it when he walks to the gym or to healthcare.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added: “Officers also do not like it and quite a few have said it\u2019s wrong and he should have it taken off him. But staff are powerless to stop him as it\u2019s not an actual football shirt and he hasn\u2019t broken any rules. However it is just wrong. Huntley is not even a football fan really. The Number 10 is especially offensive and seems a sick reference to the girls.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tory Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick said: “This disgusting murderer shouldn\u2019t be swanning around jail in a shirt designed to insult the memory of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman. It should be ripped off his back by prison officers.
