Alessia Vigilia sprung a surprise at the Giro dell\u2019Emilia Donne on Saturday, the UNO-X Mobility rider taking a solo victory after attacking the peloton early in the race.<\/p>\n
Sarah Van Dam (Visma-Lease a Bike) took second place five seconds down, while Lauren Dickson (FDJ United-SUEZ) was third, 14 seconds behind the solo winner.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n The victory was only the third of the 27-year-old\u2019s career, and the first in three years.
