An American Covid<\/a>-19 strain is on the rise in England<\/a>, as more people are admitted to hospital. <\/p>\n

The UK Health<\/a> and Security Agency revealed the rate of positive results inside hospitals increased from 5.9% to 7% last month. <\/p>\n

And hospital admissions have risen by almost 50%, with the London<\/a> region seeing the highest increase at 79%. <\/p>\n

More than half of the positive tests were a variant of the Stratus strain, which has been dubbed \u2018American Covid\u2019. <\/p>\n

People particularly at risk of the virus are being urged to get vaccinated. This includes people aged 75, residents in care homes for older adults, and immunosuppressed individuals.<\/p>\n

Alex Allen, consultant epidemiologist at the UKHSA, said: \u2018While Covid-19 activity has shown some recent increases, cases remain at low levels in the UK.<\/p>\n

A universal treatment for the common cold, flu and Covid is int he works in the US<\/a>. <\/p>\n

feeling tired or exhausted<\/p>\n

an aching body<\/p>\n

a headache<\/p>\n

a sore throat<\/p>\n

a blocked or runny nose<\/p>\n

loss of appetite<\/p>\n

diarrhoea<\/p>\n

feeling sick or being sick<\/p>\n

Common symptoms of coronavirus are very similar to the common cold or flu, so if you\u2019re unwell you\u2019ll need to get tested to know what you\u2019re dealing with.<\/p>\n
