{"id":793700,"date":"2026-10-06T12:24:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T12:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/793700\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T12:24:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T12:24:10","slug":"gp-hannah-terry-named-as-woman-found-dead-in-dersingham-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/793700\/","title":{"rendered":"GP Hannah Terry named as woman found dead in Dersingham home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A woman found dead at her home has been named locally as a GP. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The body of Dr Hannah Terry, also known as Hannah Cain, was found at a property in Fern Hill, Dersingham, Norfolk, on Sunday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Norfolk Police said it was called to the property by the ambulance service just after 02:20 BST. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">On Monday, at a hearing at Great Yarmouth Magistrates&#8217; Court, officers were granted an additional 32 hours to question him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Terry, who was in her 40s, has not been officially identified by police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A notice on the website of Grimston Medical Centre, where she is listed as a member of the practice team, says it is &#8220;temporarily closed due to extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A cordon remains in place outside the house in Fern Hill and a Home Office post-mortem examination was due to be carried out on Monday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman found dead at her home has been named locally as a GP.
