Update [Wed 7th Oct 2026, 12am]: It looks like Sony has pulled the PS Store<\/a> listing of Mafia 3<\/a> while it fixes an issue which meant players in the UK could claim it for free. It\u2019s unclear just yet whether those copies will be honoured or revoked.<\/p>\n

The platform holder has also corrected Call of Duty: WWII\u2019s<\/a> page in the past hour, and that game now once again costs \u00a354.99<\/a>. If you nabbed it for free, do let me know if you\u2019re able to continue playing or not.<\/p>\n

Original Story: Mafia 3<\/a> and all of its associated DLC is currently available for free<\/a> on the PS Store<\/a> in several countries, with no PS Plus<\/a> required. You can get it through here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans have also noticed that Call of Duty: WWII<\/a> is also available at no extra cost in several countries, which we\u2019ve been able to corroborate. You can claim that through here<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

Many of you in the UK as well as various European countries will be able to grab the Activision and 2K Games escapades at no cost, although it\u2019s unclear if this is an error and will be revoked.<\/p>\n

In the US, it looks like Mafia 3 is still priced at $29.99<\/a>, although you can also get all of the release\u2019s DLC for free<\/a>. It might be worth adding those to your catalogue should you ever pick up the game.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty: WWII is showing at full-price, $59.99, in the US for me unfortunately<\/a>, so our American friends may be out of luck.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll continue to monitor this situation to see if it\u2019s an error or a genuine promotion; I\u2019m leaning towards the latter, but sometimes Sony will honour titles claimed in this way.<\/p>\n

Assuming it is a mistake, though, you\u2019ll need to be fast, as I imagine this will get fixed pretty quick.<\/p>\n

Mafia 3 got a bit of a rough reception upon release<\/a>, but I personally really enjoyed its documentary-inspired presentation method and heady sense of place. I\u2019d really recommend it \u2013 especially for free.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, we described<\/a> Call of Duty: WWII as a \u201csafe\u201d but \u201csolid\u201d historical shooter. Again, it\u2019s worth a look.<\/p>\n
