John Fury has ruled out watching his son Tyson take on Anthony Joshua in Cardiff, saying he would rather wait at home to hear who won.<\/p>\n

The long-awaited all-British heavyweight clash is scheduled for December 11, after years of call-outs, negotiations and near misses.<\/p>\n

Fury says boxing has become too stressful and that he wants no part in the build-up or fight night.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Playbook Boxing\u2019s Spencer Oliver, John said he wished Tyson well but would not be at ringside.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish him all the luck in the world, but I\u2019m not involved, so I don\u2019t want to go to the fight,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Oliver suggested John might still make a surprise appearance in Cardiff, like Chris Eubank Sr did when he turned up to support his son before the first Conor Benn fight.<\/p>\n

John, however, dismissed the possibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me tell you, you\u2019re more chance of seeing a cow fly in that air than me bothering with it,” he explained. <\/p>\n

“Because I know accidents happen and I don\u2019t want to have no part of it.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t like the game. I don\u2019t like the people in it. I don\u2019t like the vibe they give me and it\u2019s too f***ing stressful.”<\/p>\n

John added that he would follow the example of Tyson\u2019s mother, who has generally stayed away from his bouts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll do as his mother does. Been doing it for the last 10 years,” he stated. <\/p>\n

“Wait for somebody to tell me who\u2019s won. I will not be going. Not interested anymore. I couldn\u2019t give a damn about it.”<\/p>\n

His decision comes despite the scale of the contest, which will see Tyson, 38, finally meet Joshua, 36, in one of British boxing\u2019s most anticipated heavyweight match-ups.<\/p>\n

John has repeatedly said he would prefer his son to retire.<\/p>\n

He believes Tyson\u2019s 2023 fight with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou should have marked the end of his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe should\u2019ve stopped. You can push that boat out too far, and it\u2019ll sink at some point,” he said.<\/p>\n

“So what I said to him, \u2018Stick to the game plan we had. Lucky enough to win a world title, defend it a few times, make a few million quid and leave it. Walk away ahead.\u2019<\/p>\n

“We knew he could beat Dillian Whyte. We knew he could beat Chisora. But when I seen him fight Francis Ngannou \u2013 that sealed the deal for me.<\/p>\n

“No more. Told him that. So forget about it from here on.”<\/p>\n

Tyson was knocked down by Ngannou, who was making his professional boxing debut, before winning their Saudi Arabia contest by split decision.<\/p>\n
