Michelle Keegan has just starred in ITV’s police drama The Blame, which has proven a huge hit with audiences. It’s broken records for the streamer<\/a>, tracking as the UK’s biggest new drama across any channel or streaming platform in 2026, based on 14 days of viewing.<\/p>\n

The popular British actor also took the starring role in Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once on Netflix, which also became a massive breakout hit with viewers, having debuted on the streaming service just in time for a New Year’s Day binge-watch in 2024.<\/p>\n

Having now been on our screens for an extensive telly career, spanning more than 15 years, Michelle Keegan got her big break as Tina McIntyre in ITV’s beloved Coronation Street<\/a>. Keegan moulded the character to become one of soap’s most popular in recent times, despite the fact she only remained on the cobbles for six years.<\/p>\n

Since then, Michelle Keegan has gone on to star in a number of British dramas across both ITV and the BBC, as well as taking guest roles in the likes of Red Dwarf, Plebs and Drunk History. One of the more recent shows on this list, the BBC’s Ten Pound Poms took us back to post-war Britain to dramatise the government’s drive to encourage Brits to emigrate to Australia under the guise of a brighter future.<\/p>\n

Michelle Keegan played nurse Kate Thorne, who boarded one such boat in search of a better life \u2013 and a mystery piece of her past<\/a>. The series saw Keegan reuniting with writer and creator Danny Brocklehurst, who also pens Brassic (but more on that later).<\/p>\n

6. Michelle Keegan in Coronation Street<\/p>\n

While it feels a little odd to be comparing a soap to a drama, we couldn’t rank Michelle Keegan’s shows without acknowledging where it all began.<\/p>\n

In her short (in soap years) time on the cobbles, Tina McIntyre made sure to leave her mark. Her tumultuous relationship with David Platt saw Corrie exploring an abortion storyline, and her character (who was reportedly initially only brought in to move David’s story along) ended up being so popular that she became a permanent fixture.<\/p>\n

Tina’s final appearance played out in 2014 when she was murdered by Rob Donovan.<\/p>\n

5. Michelle Keegan in Fool Me Once<\/p>\n

Whether you’re a fan of Harlan Coben’s library of TV adaptations<\/a> or not (they are fairly marmite), Michelle Keegan elevated the material to make it his best yet.<\/p>\n

Her gripping performance as Maya Stern (a grieving widow, and former army gal, on the search for answers) will keep you hooked throughout the show’s eight episodes, and we dare you to see that jaw-dropping finale coming.<\/p>\n

4. Michelle Keegan in Brassic<\/p>\n

It’s got to be tough to share a scene with the powerhouse that is Joe Gilgun, but Michelle Keegan absolutely proves her acting chops as the magnetic single mum Erin.<\/p>\n

She is a big part of the reason that Brassic has lasted for six seasons (and a first-time Christmas special) \u2013 a character-driven comedy, set in the fictional northern town of Hawley, that’s got as much heart as it has laughter.<\/p>\n

3. Michelle Keegan in Tina and Bobby<\/p>\n

ITV’s three-part drama, which aired in 2017, dramatised the story of former England captain Bobby Moore’s relationship with Tina Moore.<\/p>\n

They were hailed as football’s original golden couple, but Michelle Keegan’s Tina really stole the show in this series. Her transformation into the original WAG saw her bleaching her hair blonde<\/a> and showcasing an impressive Swinging ’60s wardrobe.<\/p>\n

2. Michelle Keegan in The Blame<\/p>\n

We told you<\/a> it was not to be skipped. The ITV drama centres on Keegan’s DI Emma Crane who, with her police partner DI Tom Radley (Douglas Booth), is investigating the murder of a local teenage girl \u2013 only to unearth something much more sinister.<\/p>\n

It is through Emma’s experience that the show’s main themes are explored, and so The Blame’s visceral impact on the viewer is a testament to Keegan’s acting prowess, in what we have hailed as one of her best performances to date. <\/p>\n

1. Michelle Keegan in Our Girl<\/p>\n

BBC One’s military drama, written and created by Tony Grounds, first hit screens back in 2013, only it was fronted by Lacey Turner as Molly Dawes.<\/p>\n

While Turner was brilliant in her own right, it wasn’t until series two \u2013 when Michelle Keegan took over the reins as Lance Corporal Georgie Lane \u2013 that the show really found its footing.<\/p>\n

Georgie’s on\/off relationship with Elvis (Rivals’ Luca Pasqualino) bubbled under the surface of the story, capturing the hearts of audiences, but it was Keegan’s steely girl boss that made the series. So much so, that when she decided to hang up her combat boots the show ended<\/a> altogether.<\/p>\n
