Acton Town station has been evacuated after a reported emergency on the London Underground on Wednesday. People have been warned to not enter the station after a “fire alert”, TFL said. Travellers are being advised to use London Buses instead, and tickets are currently being accepted on those services as an alternative.<\/p>\n
An ambulance was spotted outside the station amid the disruption, and red “Do Not Enter” signs have been displayed inside to prevent entry. TfL wrote on its website: “Closed – This station is closed while we respond to a fire alert. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses.” The station in West London serves both the Piccadilly and District lines.<\/p>\n
TfL has said that there is currently no service between Parsons Green and Wimbledon and “severe delays” between Parsons Green to Edgware Road.\u00a0<\/p>\n
