{"id":798009,"date":"2026-10-10T11:02:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-10T11:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/798009\/"},"modified":"2026-10-10T11:02:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-10T11:02:11","slug":"dispersal-order-in-melbourne-to-tackle-nuisance-behaviour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/798009\/","title":{"rendered":"Dispersal order in Melbourne to tackle nuisance behaviour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Police have issued a dispersal order in Melbourne following an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The Section 34 order came into force at 16:00 BST on Friday and will remain in place until 16:00 on Sunday, covering the area around the centre of the town. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The order gives officers the power to direct groups of two or more people to leave the designated area if they are involved in anti-social behaviour, or if police believe they are likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Officers said the measure had been introduced in response to growing concerns from residents about nuisance behaviour in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Derbyshire Police has urged residents to contact the force about any anti-social activity they encounter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Police have issued a dispersal order in Melbourne following an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour.
