Carl Froch has assessed the performances of Daniel Dubois<\/a> and Fabio Wardley<\/a> in May and, in turn, considered whether their rematch will result in a different outcome.<\/p>\n

The two British heavyweights squared off in a brutal battle<\/a>, with Wardley getting off to a flying start after flooring his man in rounds one and three.<\/p>\n

After climbing off the canvas for a second time, \u2018DDD\u2019 then began to establish his thudding jab and, while utilising his superior footwork, too, was able to dominate large portions of their contest.<\/p>\n

In response, Wardley showed tremendous grit to remain on his feet, but was ultimately compelled to endure a punishing beatdown in his maiden WBO world title defence.<\/p>\n

It then reached a stage where referee Howard Foster had no choice but to draw a halt in round 11, with Dubois becoming a two-time heavyweight champion after losing his IBF strap via a fifth-round stoppage defeat to Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> in July 2025.<\/p>\n

As a result, the 29-year-old is now brimming with confidence ahead of their rematch, which will take place at London\u2019s O2 Arena next Saturday.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his YouTube channel<\/a>, Hall of Famer Froch highlighted this self-belief as one of the reasons for favouring Dubois.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I look at Fabio Wardley, he took a lot of damage in that [first] fight, and Daniel Dubois actually finished strong, stood proud and was full of energy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the rematch, I just think Daniel Dubois\u2019 got an extra 10% over Wardley, and I think that\u2019ll be enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo Fabio Wardley, unfortunately, I don\u2019t think will get this job done and he\u2019ll probably get stopped again. Daniel Dubois\u2019 going to be coming into this fight really confident.\u201d<\/p>\n
