Kelly Clarkson<\/a> has told an upmarket toy store in Brooklyn that they\u2019ve made, in the words of Julia Roberts\u2019 character in Pretty Woman<\/a>, a \u201cbig mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old singer and former talk show host<\/a> took to social media to claim that she was treated poorly by staff at Art of Play.<\/p>\n

She compared the experience to the famous scene in the 1990 movie<\/a> where Roberts\u2019 character is looked down on while shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n

Clarkson wrote on X<\/a>: \u201cJust drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn\u2019t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cWow, dude. You\u2019re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y\u2019all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out.\u201d She concluded her message with a \u201cthumbs down\u201d emoji.<\/p>\n

The store has since responded to Clarkson\u2019s claim with a statement on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Clarkson surprised fans when she revealed she is \u201cobsessed\u201d with using AI<\/a> and supports the use of it for creative purposes.<\/a> <\/p>\n

However, she did add that she draws the line at having AI songs on the music charts.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking on the Las Culturistas<\/a> podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, Clarkson said: \u201cIt\u2019s controversial, I don\u2019t care \u2013 I love AI.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s very amazing things with AI that I\u2019m obsessed with. I\u2019m very into it artistically, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on, discussing her argument that there should be separate music charts for AI-generated music.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when you see AI artists competing on a chart with humans, I have an issue. I think there should be a separate chart. I think it\u2019s welcome to the table; it\u2019s really cool and creative what we\u2019re going to create with AI musically \u2013 people that maybe can\u2019t do certain things will be able to do it now,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She added that she thinks AI is a \u201cfun field to play in\u201d but she doesn\u2019t believe that robots should be competing with humans in the music industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m down with it. It\u2019s a very interesting thing and what we\u2019re gonna do with it is gonna be fun, but I do not think they should be competing,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Want to bookmark your favourite articles and stories to read or reference later?
