{"id":799963,"date":"2026-10-12T08:02:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-12T08:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/799963\/"},"modified":"2026-10-12T08:02:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-12T08:02:09","slug":"temporary-ae-units-plan-for-norfolk-norwich-hospital-car-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/799963\/","title":{"rendered":"Temporary A&#038;E units plan for Norfolk &#038; Norwich hospital car park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">According to the plans, the temporary building will be made up of four modules and will have 250 sq m (2700 sq ft) of space inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It will include a reception, assessment areas, trolley bays and toilets &#8220;with sufficient windows and ventilation designed to meet NHS standards&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In a letter to the council, Nethra George &#8211; from NNUH&#8217;s planning consultants Bidwells \u2013 said it would mean the hospital could &#8220;continue the safe, effective service delivery for patients&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The proposed building will allow the hospital to continue to take in patients who need urgent treatment,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The hospital wants to start installing the modules next month on Car Park I \u2013 the nearest to the emergency department entrance \u2013 which would mean the temporary loss of 42 parking spaces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The hospital has been asked for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Do you have a story suggestion for Norfolk?
