The Major Soccer League transfer window closes this week and it remains to be seen if the American side comes back in<\/p>\n

Dundee United have knocked back a major six-figure bid for Will Ferry.<\/p>\n

Record Sport understands the offer has come in from a Major League Soccer<\/a> side but is well short of United\u2019s valuation.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if the club from the Western Conference side comes back in with an increased offer before the MLS transfer window closes on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The Tannadice club is under no financial pressure to sell and would only let one of their prize assets go if they were to receive a significant offer.<\/p>\n

Ferry was ranked as one of the standout full-backs in Scotland last season when it came down to the data analytics, while he also holds up well in leagues across Europe.<\/p>\n

Hearts sold James Penrice to AEK Athens for \u00a32million<\/a> and Hibs sold Lewis Miller to Blackburn for a deal that could net them \u00a31.5million.<\/p>\n

Ferry is very much at that same level and it would take a decent seven figure bid to even get United to the table.<\/p>\n

Jim Goodwin<\/a> \u2019s side are also in a good place because Ferry is still under contract for this season and next.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has also been named as United\u2019s vice captain and also skippered them through their Conference League<\/a> campaign.<\/p>\n

Ferry\u2019s form has also not gone unnoticed by Ireland<\/a> and he is very much on the radar for a full call-up.<\/p>\n

He has previously been capped at under-21 level but new national coach Heimir Hallgrimsson has had him scouted and he is very much in his thinking.<\/p>\n
