Introduced to tennis by her father at a young age, Williams the younger went on to transform the sport, winning 23 major tournament singles titles and four gold medals.

“Growing up, I didn’t see many girls who looked like me being told there was no limit to who they could become,” Williams said in a statement released alongside the signature edition Barbie.

“I want every girl who plays with this doll to see possibility—not just in me, but in herself. She can dream big, work hard, change direction, break barriers, and become anything she chooses. That’s what makes having my own Barbie so meaningful to me.”

Inspired by Serena Williams’ iconic championship victory in the 2005 Australian Open, the Barbie Signature Serena Williams Doll pays homage to the look from her 7th Singles title win.

Her doll wears a green and white cutout top with mesh detailing, paired with a crisp white skirt and matching sweatband, socks and shoes. Her outfit is complete with a tennis ball and racket in hand.

“Barbie has always inspired girls to believe they can be anything… Serena Williams embodies that message through her extraordinary achievements as an athlete, entrepreneur, and advocate for equality,” said Nathan Baynard, VP and Head of Barbie, Mattel.
