Djed Spence has taken to Instagram to share how he challenged Tottenham new boy Mohammed Kudus at Hotspur Way and there was only ever going to be one winner.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Kudus<\/a> has not always been a popular figure around those at Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>. He not only played for West Ham, but was sent off during his last appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium<\/a>. The winger struck Micky van de Ven<\/a> and Pape Matar Sarr<\/a> in the face, setting up an awkward reunion when he made his move to Spurs.<\/p>\n

However, Kudus appears to have made up with his new teammates and he is off to a flying start in Tottenham colours. His two assists last Saturday were key to the 3-0 routing of Burnley, a continuation of his fine performances in pre-season.<\/p>\n

Spurs supporters will be excited to see how the right wing partnership of Kudus and Pedro Porro<\/a> develops, but another player who could partner with Kudus is Djed Spence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Spence and Kudus already appear to have built a strong friendship and the pair recently competed in a one v one challenge at Hotspur Way<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Spence told Kudus: \u201cIf you get past me once, I buy you dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, according to Spence\u2019s Instagram story<\/a>, Kudus attempted to beat the defender 10 times and failed to come out on top on every occasion.<\/p>\n

It is not the first time Spence has shown confidence in his defending. Last season, Spence backed himself to silence Mohamed Salah in the Carabao Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It seems Kudus himself has now verified that the story is true, replying to Spence\u2019s Instagram story with the message: \u201cMy feet will do the talking soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spence has a big season ahead of him at Spurs<\/p>\n

Djed Spence recently committed his long-term future to Tottenham<\/a> and he has stated his aims for the future. Spence has said he wants to reach new levels<\/a>, adding that he managed a breakthrough last season.<\/p>\n

However, at the end of the previous campaign, Spence still found himself behind Destiny Udogie<\/a>, while there seems to be no chance that Porro will be dropped. <\/p>\n

Therefore, Spence must play his best football on a weekly basis and take advantage of Udogie\u2019s injury, if he is to cement his place in the Tottenham first-team.<\/p>\n
