\n After allowing the dolphin time to become accustomed to their presence, the team managed to get close enough to secure it over the side of the boat with the assistance of a boat hook.\n<\/p>\n
\n Rescuers then cut away the netting and assessed the dolphin, finding only minor wounds caused by the entanglement.\n<\/p>\n

\n The animal was released back into the river and is now being monitored by BDMLR volunteers.\n<\/p>\n
\n The charity said it has “every chance” of making its own way out of the river and back towards the sea, although plans are being considered should further intervention be required.\n<\/p>\n

\n BDMLR thanked Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service for enabling a “swift joint response and successful disentanglement”, as well as local PCSOs and its volunteer medics.\n<\/p>\n
\n People who spot the dolphin have been urged to keep their distance and not attempt to interact with it while it recovers.\n<\/p>\n
