\n Comedian and actress Miranda Hart, currently appearing as a Faithful in the second series of the hit BBC show, has spoken fondly of the Suffolk coast and what first drew her to the area.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Hart said: “I first visited my friends on the coast around 2011.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I completely fell in love with it, so kept inviting myself back.”\n<\/p>\n
\n She praised the region’s wildlife and landscape, describing a particular fascination with murmuration sightings during her stays.\n<\/p>\n

\n Ms Hart said: “The coastline is uniquely beautiful even on a bleak January day.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The bird life is incredible \u2013 I got obsessed with finding murmurations \u2013 and there\u2019s something about the expansive skies.”\n<\/p>\n
\n She also described the people as a blend of “calm, adventurous and highly creative,” calling it “just my kind of vibe.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The Suffolk coast has long attracted well-known personalities<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n Aldeburgh, in particular, has been a regular haunt for actor Tom Hiddleston, who has family ties to the town and has been seen there several times<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n \n In 2016, he was photographed strolling along the seafront with then-girlfriend Taylor Swift<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n More recently, former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson and TV personality Zara McDermott were spotted dining together at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh.\n<\/p>\n \n Southwold and nearby Walberswick also have celebrity connections.\n<\/p>\n \n Love Actually writer and director Richard Curtis owns a home in Walberswick, while Ed Sheeran has filmed several music videos<\/a> in the area.\n<\/p>\n \n Locations featured in Sheeran\u2019s Subtract album include Southwold Pier, Southwold Denes Beach, and Walberswick Ferry Pier.\n<\/p>\n \n \n Ms Hart\u2019s connection to Suffolk deepened beyond her regular visits.\n<\/p>\n \n In 2022, she made her playwriting debut in the county, contributing a short family drama called Passport to the INK Festival in Halesworth<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n She learned about the festival during one of her trips to the area.\n<\/p>\nAldeburgh has attracted many famous visitors (Image: Sarah Lucy Brown)\n<\/p>\n
