A 39-year-old man has been arrested on the suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in a caravan park.<\/p>\n
Essex Police said it was called to the Valley Road Caravan Park, in Clacton-on-Sea, following reports of a man making threats at about 21:15 BST on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Officers said a man in his 40s, from Frinton-on-Sea, was found injured inside a caravan and pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n
The 39-year-old, from Ingatestone, was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. <\/p>\n
After his arrest he was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury to his hand. <\/p>\n
Det Insp Tim Coyles said the force does not believe there was an ongoing risk to the wider public, adding: “My thoughts this morning are with the family of the man who died last night.”<\/p>\n
He continued: “We will work tirelessly to get them the answers they need about what happened.<\/p>\n
“We have already made good progress at building a picture of what took place and, at this stage, we believe both men were known to each other.<\/p>\n
“I believe there will be a number of people who saw or heard something last night that may be helpful to our investigation and I urge them to come forward.”<\/p>\n
