\n\tTalk about meeting The Challenge \u2014 the latest challenge to the Swedish version of the popular reality-TV show has met its match by way of an apparent AI agent, which is being blamed for deleting its entire new season.<\/p>\n
\n\tAccording to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet<\/a> via Futurism<\/a>, an AI agent deleted the new season of the show known as The Challenge Sverige, mere weeks before its premiere. Apparently, the files are irrecoverable and the production company, Mastiff, must go back to the drawing board and recut the entire season again.<\/p>\n \n\tThe incident supposedly happened after an AI agent was granted access on the server from Mastiff. It apparently wiped a year\u2019s worth of work, and now its original Nov. 22 air time has been pushed back to next year, according to TV4, which airs the show.<\/p>\n \n\tTV4 called it a \u201ctechnical breakdown\u201d and said it was unaware whether an AI agent played a role in its deletion. TV4\u2019s Program Director Mia Lindqvist disputed it was an AI agent, saying in a statement that it wasn\u2019t an \u201cAI agent that acted independently.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cOn the other hand, most production companies use AI in their work processes these days, but that\u2019s a completely different matter,\u201d she continued. \u201cIn this case, the big problem is that their backup didn\u2019t work, and that means they have to recut everything from scratch.
