Credit: Kritsanai Chaemcharindamr\/Shutterstock.com.<\/p>\n<p class=\"drop-cap\">Moore Kingston Smith (MKS) has acquired Luminex, a professional services company based near Reading, Berkshire, in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, MKS said the acquisition adds expertise in financial reporting, technical accounting, valuations and financial operations. We are looking forward to bringing together the best of both firms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Luminex has 22 consultants and two partners: managing partner Andrew Wigmore and Joe Hill. It serves clients across the UK, including fast-growth small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), private equity-backed businesses, AIM-listed companies and multinational groups.<\/p>\n<p>The company supports clients with year-end reporting and external audits. Its work also includes outsourced group and subsidiary accounts, technical accounting papers, IFRS conversions, and project-based audit or transaction support. It also provides purchase price allocations, and valuations of complex financial instruments and share-based payments.<\/p>\n<p>MKS said Luminex clients will gain access to its wider services including tax, payroll and transaction advice.<\/p>\n<p>Luminex managing partner Andrew Wigmore said: \u201cAs part of MKS, we can draw on a much wider range of expertise while continuing to offer the specialist approach our clients value.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt means we can do even more to help businesses across the Thames Valley and the UK navigate financial and strategic challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MKS plans to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalaccountingbulletin.com\/news\/moore-kingston-smith-to-rebrand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">rebrand as Auren<\/a> in March 2027.
