Recorded during his May 2026 concert, Beck is joined by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on a rich arrangement of the track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou got to ride lonesome, You got to try to find the road, You got to cry a river, And follow it all the way home,\u201d Beck sings as the orchestra swells. The orchestral arrangement of the song, conducted by Nicholas Buc, was provided by Beck and his father David Campbell. He is also joined by his live band mainstays Jason Falkner (bass and vocals), Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (piano and vocals) and James McAllister (drums).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRide Lonesome\u201d is the titular lead single from Beck\u2019s fifteenth studio album, released in September 2026. He shared his inspiration behind the song with NPR: \u201cIt was a bit of a lonely time. It was one of those times in your life when you\u2019re taking things in, where you\u2019ve been and where you\u2019re going. You know, when you\u2019re going through difficult things, often you have to get through it yourself. You just have to move forward through whatever landscape of your life and circumstances you find yourself in.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Beck recently confirmed he will be joining U2 on their Greatest Show on Earth World Tour in 2027. Sharing a stage with the band for the first time since his stint on the 2017 Joshua Tree stadium tour, Beck will be featured on U2 shows in Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires running from late February to late March.\n<\/p>\n<p>The singer is currently in the midst of the Ride Lonesome tour, which is making its way across North American cities including Toronto, Boston, and Philadelphia before concluding in Portland on November 10th.
