Zacharia, a relative novice, only fanned the<br \/>\nflames.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Her halting Tuesday press conference performance, combined<br \/>\nwith the questions about her legal background, essentially sealed her fate. And<br \/>\nsubsequent press appearances, including a less-than-welcoming interview with<br \/>\nconservative talking head Sean Hannity on Thursday \u2013 which Trump said he<br \/>\nwatched \u2013 did nothing to change that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">As president, Trump has essentially acted as his own press<br \/>\nsecretary, making major announcements and changing policies from the Oval<br \/>\nOffice, White House lawn and airfield tarmacs.
