\n Priory Surgery and Cressex Health Centre in High Wycombe are among the practices participating in the first phase of the GP Capacity and Outcomes Fund.\n<\/p>\n
\n The scheme has been developed by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust alongside the Buckinghamshire Primary Care Collaborative and the Local Medical Committee as part of the wider neighbourhood health programme.\n<\/p>\n
\n It will see funding moved directly from the hospital trust into local GP practices as part of efforts to bring more healthcare support into local communities.\n<\/p>\n
\n According to the trust, the first 12 practices have been selected because the way national GP funding is currently calculated leaves them under-resourced relative to the needs of the patients they serve.\n<\/p>\n
\n Each surgery will be able to decide how best to use its share of the money based on the needs of its own patients, with a focus on increasing capacity to handle increased workload, providing better support for people with long-term conditions, and providing more proactive care.\n<\/p>\n
\n Alongside Priory Surgery and Cressex Health Centre, the practices taking part are Carrington House Surgery, Poplar Grove Practice, Berrycroft Community Health Centre, The Mandeville Practice and The Swan Practice.\n<\/p>\n
\n Tower House Surgery, Kingswood Surgery, Gladstone Road Surgery, Wye Valley Surgery and Westongrove Partnership will also receive funding.\n<\/p>\n
\n Raghuv Bhasin, chief executive of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, said: \u201cThis fund is the first step in a longer-term plan to move funding from hospital care into GP services.\n<\/p>\n

\n He said the shift in resources would also support the trust’s wider vision for more integrated, neighbourhood-based care across Buckinghamshire.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dr Amanda Bartlett, GP partner at Priory Surgery in High Wycombe, welcomed the investment.\n<\/p>\n
\n She said: \u201cThis funding means we can put resource behind the things we know would make the biggest difference for our patients, whether that’s more appointment capacity or better support for people managing long-term conditions.\n<\/p>\n
