If there\u2019s one thing guaranteed to get shoppers talking, it\u2019s a nostalgic sweet treat.<\/a><\/p>\n At the beginning of summer<\/a>, M&S<\/a> delighted shoppers by putting four retro\u00a0chocolate bars<\/a>\u00a0back on its shelves.<\/p>\n One customer was so overwhelmed by seeing his favourite childhood snack back in stores, he actually implored retailers to \u2018stop this delicious madness\u2019.<\/p>\n But, it turns out that more madness is on the horizon.<\/p>\n Eagle-eyed shoppers recently spotted one of Cadbury\u2019s<\/a> most beloved products in none other than variety store B&M<\/a>.<\/p>\n First launched in the 90s, Astros quickly became a fan-favourite among chocoholics in the UK.Slightly similar to an M&M or smartie, Astros are\u00a0bite-sized, colourful candy-coated chocolates featuring a crunchy biscuit centre and a smooth milk chocolate layer.<\/p>\n Officially discontinued in the UK in 2008, they\u2019ve historically been exceedingly hard to get ahold of\u2026 until now.<\/p>\n \t\t Astros were initially released in South Africa<\/a> in 1995, where they remain a popular staple. <\/p>\n But these days, they\u2019re notoriously hard to find in the UK.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tAsk Metro<\/p>\n Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about \u2013 powered by Metro and trusted publications.<\/p>\n Your best bet is either to import them or get lucky hunting down a packet or two at a retro sweet shop or through a South African retailer online.<\/p>\n Which shop you choose will also influence how much you pay. However, Hardyz Grocery Store lists the same sized box for just \u00a31.65.<\/p>\n But with hefty postage fees and a delivery slot to wait for, Brits were understandably excited at the prospect of popping to their local shop to get a taste of their childhood.<\/p>\n Always first to spot a new product on store shelves, UKnewestfoods received a flurry of comments on its recent post about Astros\u2019 return.<\/p>\n @Kathpickard exclaimed \u2018All my faith in childhood has been restored!\u2019 while @shnicky4ever added: \u2018I literally mentioned these a couple of hours ago when I was talking about sweets I miss!\u2019<\/p>\n Some users, occupied with other things, tagged friends and family members instructing them to head to the shops \u2018immediately!\u2019<\/p>\n @CherylThompson tagged her husband underneath one video, writing: \u2018These were my favourite ever \u2013 I\u2019m sending you to B&M.\u2019<\/p>\n On Facebook<\/a>, some users have claimed Astros are a bit like \u2018crispy M&Ms but better\u2019, while @jrtyu has also made the rather bold statement that they are \u2018much better than Smarties\u2019.<\/p>\n As a die-hard Smarties girl, I find this hard to believe.<\/p>\n This\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0the\u00a0first\u00a0time\u00a0Astros\u00a0has\u00a0landed\u00a0on\u00a0B&M\u00a0shelves.\u00a0Back\u00a0in\u00a0July\u00a02022, shoppers spotted the chocolate on sale for just \u00a31 a box.<\/p>\n So, with online retailers charging a pretty penny for the chocolate, it might be worth rushing to the shops to stock up on this iconic treat before it disappears from shelves once more.<\/p>\n One word of warning, some users have shared that they weren\u2019t able to find Astros in their local B&M.
