\n The 6ft 7in actor and creature performer, best known for playing Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, tied the knot with Joleen at Christ Church in Prestatyn on Friday, October 16.\n<\/p>\n

\n The service, led by Reverend Gregor-Lachlann Waddell, combined heartfelt moments with plenty of nods to Spencer’s extraordinary film career.\n<\/p>\n
\n At one point, the reverend consulted a Wookiee translator and held a lightsaber while asking if anyone had any objections to the union.\n<\/p>\n

\n The ceremony also featured references to Joleen’s love of house music and Spencer’s career in Hollywood, with the reverend telling the actor that his most important role was now that of a husband.\n<\/p>\n

\n When Spencer and Joleen were finally pronounced man and wife, the former fighter raised his arms in the air like a prizefighter as cheers rang out from the congregation.\n<\/p>\n

\n Spencer and Joleen were surrounded by friends and family for their big day, including Spencer’s mum Mary and her partner Warren, his daughter Tyler, the couple’s sons George and Bobby-Joe, and granddaughter Harlow.\n<\/p>\n

\n After leaving the church, the newlyweds were greeted by a guard of honour made up of Star Wars characters before making their getaway in a Bonnie and Clyde-style vintage car.\n<\/p>\n

\n The wedding marked the latest chapter in a relationship which began in Rhyl almost three decades ago.\n<\/p>\n

\n Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Spencer recalled the moment he first spotted his future wife.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThe first time I saw her, I turned to my mate and said, \u2018You see her down there? She\u2019s going to have my boys,\u2019\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI\u2019d never met her before and I\u2019d never seen her around, but I just knew straight away. It sounds strange, but I knew she was going to be my partner.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cA few weeks later we got together and it\u2019s been a whirlwind ever since. Twenty-nine years later, here we are.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n After years together and raising their family in North Wales, Spencer eventually proposed in suitably spectacular surroundings at Niagara Falls.\n<\/p>\n
\n But the actor has said one of the biggest reasons for finally marrying was Joleen\u2019s wish to share the Wilding surname with their sons.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI love Joleen to death and I\u2019m never going to be with anybody else,\u201d he said ahead of the wedding.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI should have married Joleen years ago, probably more than 10 years ago while both her parents were still alive. That\u2019s something I\u2019ll always regret.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWhen she said she wanted to share the Wilding name with our sons, it really made me think. I realised I\u2019d got to stop putting it off and make it happen.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe timing just felt right. After everything we\u2019ve shared together, it was time to make it official.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n Ahead of the big day, Joleen spoke poignantly about the absence of her parents.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cAfter 29 years of ups and downs, we\u2019re marrying on October 16. My heart is so full, and heavy too,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI wish more than anything my mum and dad were sitting there, laughing and cheering me on. They aren\u2019t here in person, but they\u2019re here in every beat of my heart.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Spencer\u2019s screen career has taken him around the world, with roles including The Wolfman and Frankenstein\u2019s Monster as well as appearances in Guardians of the Galaxy, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.\n<\/p>\n
