We can do a lot more for the business. He speaks my kind of language.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFrow has transformed 5 into a thriving network, known for shows including <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/all-creatures-great-and-small\/\" id=\"auto-tag_all-creatures-great-and-small\" data-tag=\"all-creatures-great-and-small\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">All Creatures Great and Small<\/a>, during his 13-year tenure as head of content.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tChannel 5\u2019s future has been a source of speculation, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/paramount-skydance-merger-channel-5-future-1236474003\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/paramount-skydance-merger-channel-5-future-1236474003\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">source telling Deadline<\/a> last month that the mood among the network\u2019s staffers is \u201canxious\u201d as they await more news about their future. \u201cThere\u2019s so much nervousness because there\u2019s so much change,\u201d added the ex-employee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFrow\u2019s comments in Edinburgh could soothe some of these concerns, with the content chief seemingly being reassured by his conversation with his new bosses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFrow was unflinchingly honest about Channel 5\u2019s fortunes, saying it had a difficult start to the year in terms of ratings as the network attempted to wrestle back viewers from the streamers. \u201cIt\u2019s a tough time for linear television,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHe also appeared to take a shot at his Channel 4 counterpart, Ian Katz.
