\n\tRichard Gadd<\/a> has revealed a first look at his upcoming HBO and BBC series \u201cHalf Man<\/a>,\u201d the follow-up to his Emmy-winning Netflix breakout \u201cBaby Reindeer<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the images, Gadd sports a bulked-up physique alongside co-star Jamie Bell (\u201cAll of Us Strangers,\u201d \u201cRocket Man\u201d). \u201cHalf Man\u201d stars Gadd and Bell as \u201cbrothers\u201d Ruben and Niall, who \u201creunite after years of estrangement, leading to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives over the course of the series,\u201d according to the show\u2019s plot description.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe six-episode original drama spans four decades from the 1980s to present day, with Mitchell Robertson (\u201cCurfew,\u201d \u201cMayflies\u201d) and Stuart Campbell (\u201cSAS Rogue Heroes,\u201d \u201cThe Winter King\u201d) playing Niall (Robertson) and Ruben (Campbell) in their younger years.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHalf Man\u201d explores the \u201chighs and lows of Ruben and Niall\u2019s relationship, from meeting them as troubled teenagers to witnessing their falling out as adults \u2014 with all the good, bad, terrible, funny, angry and challenging moments along the way,\u201d the synopsis continues. \u201cThe series will capture the wild energy of a changing city \u2014 a changing world, even \u2014 and plumb the depths of what it means to be a man.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFilming recently wrapped in and around Glasgow, Scotland. \u201cHalf Man\u201d also stars Neve McIntosh (\u201cTin Star,\u201d \u201cChemistry of Death\u201d) as Niall\u2019s mother Lori, and Marianne McIvor (\u201cScrew,\u201d \u201cThe Nest\u201d) as Ruben\u2019s mother Maura. Additional cast members include Charlie De Melo (\u201cRivals\u201d), Bilal Hasna\u00a0(\u201cThe Agency\u201d), Julie Cullen (\u201cTraces\u201d), Amy Manson (\u201cThe Nevers\u201d), Philippine Velge (\u201cThe Serpent Queen\u201d), Stuart McQuarrie (\u201cThe Rig\u201d), Piers Ewart (\u201cThe Primrose Railway Children\u201d), Scot Greenan (\u201cT2 Trainspotting\u201d) and newcomers Charlotte Blackwood and Calum Manchip.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHalf Man\u201d was created, written an executive produced by Gadd. Alexandra Brodski (\u201cSomewhere Boy,\u201d \u201cRivals\u201d) and Eshref Reybrouck (\u201cFerry: The Series,\u201d \u201cCheyenne & Lola\u201d) serve as directors.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is made by Mam Tor Productions, a Banijay U.K. company,\u00a0for the BBC, BBC Scotland and HBO. Banijay Rights is handling international distribution outside of BBC and HBO rights and the show is supported by Screen Scotland.<\/p>\n
