{"id":807362,"date":"2026-10-19T07:54:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T07:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/807362\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T07:54:13","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T07:54:13","slug":"geese-of-march-to-get-their-own-visitor-and-gift-shop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/807362\/","title":{"rendered":"Geese of March to get their own visitor and gift shop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In the past year, Fadipe co-ordinated the production of a goose calendar, tea towels, greeting cards, socks and a &#8220;dino-goose&#8221; printable toy, to raise thousands for The Waterfowl Sanctuary in Godmanchester and Sally&#8217;s Duck Rescue in Wisbech.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A pop-up goose shop was held at a Christmas market event last December, with orders reportedly coming in from around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Fadipe said the town&#8217;s gaggle needed help because they were a domestic breed that had been &#8220;dumped&#8221; and made March their home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;They don&#8217;t act like regular geese, they are so confident, they boldly walk around the High Street, a lot of geese are quite anti-social and hiss at people, but ours come over to meet and greet, they are friendly and so photogenic,&#8221; she previously explained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Renovation work had already begun on the building in Darthill Road, she added, including creating goose themed displays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Do you have a story suggestion for Cambridgeshire?
