{"id":807404,"date":"2026-10-19T09:02:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T09:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/807404\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T09:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T09:02:10","slug":"two-mothers-to-cycle-1000-km-across-turkey-with-toddlers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/807404\/","title":{"rendered":"Two mothers to cycle 1,000 km across Turkey with toddlers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Vanessa Ruck, known as The Girl On A Bike, and her friend Tori will embark on the journey on October 22.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They aim to cycle over 1,000 km and climb more than 21,000 metres in 25 days.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The pair, along with toddlers Skyla and Leo, will be using e-bikes, carrying their equipment, and towing their children in trailers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Vanessa Ruck and Tori (Image: Vanessa Ruck)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ms Ruck, who studied for her master&#8217;s in public relations at Bournemouth University, said the journey is a &#8220;new chapter&#8221; in her life.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She said: &#8220;The question is simple: how far can two mums, two toddlers, and two e-bikes get across Turkey in 25 days?&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The mothers have not booked accommodation for each night and plan to adapt around their children&#8217;s needs.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A support motorhome will be provided by a friend named Gary.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ms Ruck, who was hit by a car in Oxford in 2014, said adventure helped her rebuild her life.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She added: &#8220;Motherhood doesn\u2019t mean adventure has to stop.
