\n Tax advisory firm WTS has appointed Brad Ashton to its UK firm. He arrives as a partner to build its customs and global trade practice.\n <\/p>\n

WTS is one of the largest tax advisory firms in Germany, generating annual revenues of more than \u20ac250 million. Last year, the group entered a long-term strategic partnership with the global private equity firm EQT, as it sought to expand its services to become an independent European champion in the tax advisory industry, uniquely free from annual audits. Realising that ambition in Britain will be WTS UK, launched in 2026 <\/a>with major plans to see out the decade.<\/p>\n \n \u00a0\n <\/p>\n \n WTS launched with a double-digit number of partners, and it hopes to hit 100 within the next five years \u2013 something which would see it reach roughly 60% of the size of EY\u2019s UK tax practice. As the firm pushes ahead with these ambitions, Brad Ashton arrives from RSM, where he spent 10 years building the firm\u2019s customs capability, and brings more than 35 years\u2019 experience helping businesses navigate customs requirements, compliance programmes and international trade challenges.\n <\/p>\n \n \u00a0\n <\/p>\n \n He brings more than 35 years\u2019 experience in delivering complex customs solutions, controversy support and compliance programmes for businesses trading internationally. At WTS UK, he will grow the customs and global trade practice, and work with clients to create future-ready compliance programmes.\n <\/p>\n \n \u00a0\n <\/p>\n \n Ashton added, \u201cI am very happy to join a firm which is taking a different approach to providing tax solutions without conflicts and, perhaps uniquely, assisting clients in developing first-class customs solutions using the growing range of technology-driven tools.
