An outage at Google Cloud has led to a major services disruption across British giants on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Google Cloud confirmed it was facing \u201cissues\u201d in its \u201ceurope-west2 region,\u201d which refers to London according to the firm\u2019s service table. It has affected dozens of websites across the UK, spanning banks, delivery services and retail brands.<\/p>\n
The digital banking giant said on Tuesday morning it was experiencing a \u201cservice disruption\u201d across multiple features, as problems were also reported at Lloyds, HSBC and Barclays.<\/p>\n
Google Cloud confirmed that several of its services were experiencing network failures at its London facility, which provides computing infrastructure to businesses across the UK.<\/p>\n
\u201cMultiple Google Cloud services are experiencing elevated errors and intermittent network failures in europe-west2 region,\u201d Google said.<\/p>\n

We apologise to all who are affected by the disruption.\u201d<\/p>\n The Downdetector, which is used to track major outages across consumer platforms, showed a spike for Revolut around 8am with more than 1,500 issues reported. It also showed spikes for Lloyds Bank, Rightmove, Royal Mail and HSBC.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tRead more<\/p>\n \t\t\tRevolut and Nubank want to make neobanking their world<\/a><\/p>\n One user said on X that their Revolut card had been declined<\/a> whilst trying to make a payment and they were also unable to use their app.<\/p>\n The fintech<\/a> serves more than 80m personal customers across the world, and more than 800,000 business customers. In the UK, it is estimated to have around 13m customers. <\/p>\n Halifax, which is owned by Lloyds, also posted on X that it was aware some customers were \u201chaving issues\u201d with the app and online.<\/p>\n The Downdetector also flagged issues with NHS England, Gov.UK and Asda on Tuesday morning following the Google Cloud disruption.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Revolut said: \u201cWe are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple services. We can confirm that all our customers\u2019 money and data are safe. <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been working to fix the issue since it was identified this morning and apologise to anyone affected and for any inconvenience caused.\u201d<\/p>\n Last year a swathe of platforms faced an outage <\/a>after a global Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage.
