The first trailer for Greta Gerwig\u2019s Narnia: The Magician\u2019s Nephew amassed 481 million views in its first seven days, according to Deadline<\/a> via WaveMetrix, making it one of the most-watched trailers ever.<\/p>\n

The report notes that the seven-day total surpasses the view counts for Gerwig\u2019s Barbie (240 million), Wonka (237.2 million) and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (281.6 million). Project Hail Mary also hit 400 million views in its first week.<\/p>\n

The trailer \u201ctrended at No. 1 on X and is still the No. 1 trending movie trailer on YouTube and NarniaFilm.com, which briefly crashed due to the influx of visits.<\/p>\n

According to polling conducted across NarniaWeb\u2019s social media, which drew more than 4,000 responses, 46% of respondents said the trailer left them feeling more optimistic about the film, while 35% felt less optimistic. Asked about Gerwig\u2019s creative direction, 40% expressed mixed reactions, 32% said they disliked it, and 28% said they liked it.<\/p>\n

Despite these mixed reactions, 70% of respondents said they would definitely or probably see the film in theatres next February.<\/p>\n

The renewed attention is also benefiting C. S. Lewis\u2019s original novel. The Magician\u2019s Nephew is currently ranked No. 3 in the Children\u2019s Classics<\/a> category of Amazon\u2019s Kindle Store, with The Horse and His Boy at No. 10 and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at No. 17.<\/p>\n

Narnia: The Magician\u2019s Nephew arrives in theatres worldwide on February 10, 2027.<\/p>\n
