Newcastle<\/a> have seen a bid turned down for a potential Alexander Isak replacement, as the saga surrounding the Swede rumbles on.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday evening, Isak released an explosive statement<\/a> claiming Newcastle<\/a> had \u201cbroken promises\u201d with him, demanding a summer exit. <\/p>\n

The Magpies are remaining as subborn as ever, however, with Sky Sports\u2019 Keith Downie<\/a> saying the 25-year-old will be \u201cstaying\u201d put at St James\u2019 Park.<\/p>\n

That said, Newcastle<\/a> signing a striker could change things, but The Athletic<\/a>\u2018s David Ornstein says they have seen an offer of \u00a335 million plus add-ons for Brentford<\/a> striker Yoane Wissa rejected.<\/p>\n

\"LONDON,<\/p>\n

Much like Isak, Wissa wants to leave his current club, but the Bees are holding out for more money, valuing him at \u00a360 million.<\/p>\n

The next step in the saga arguably feels like an improved second offer from Liverpool for Isak, in order to hopefully sway Newcastle<\/a>\u2018s thinking.<\/p>\n

For now, though, nothing drastic is changing, and this Wissa bid being rejected isn\u2019t of much help to the Reds. <\/p>\n
