We’re about to reach the end of an era on the DP World Tour.

A number of the circuit’s most respected veterans are on the verge of losing cards they have held for what feels like an eternity.

Only the top 100 in the Race to Dubai standings after the conclusion of the Genesis Championship in South Korea secure their full playing rights for the following season.

That cutoff was reduced from 110 last year, and those who don’t make it inside the mark will face a daunting trip to Q School next month.

DP World Tour players in danger of losing their cards

These are the players at risk of losing their cards at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club…

Matteo Manassero – 98th
He was once labelled the heir to Seve Ballesteros and, as the youngest ever winner on this circuit, there was good reason. The Italian has experienced more highs and lows than most of his peers, slipping from 25th in the world rankings to outside the top 1,800 in a precipitous fall a few years ago. He won his card back in 2024 and even secured dual membership on the PGA Tour, but has hovered around the danger zone this year.

Eddie Pepperell – 99th
With ongoing injury problems, Pepperell has decided to skip this week’s season-finale. He is just inside the mark and, after making important cuts in Spain and India, the ever-popular Englishman will hope he has done enough to cling on.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat – 108th
The much-loved Thai player has overcome the Q School grind before, but will need to finish solo 26th or better in Korea to consolidate his playing rights and avoid a return.

Ross Fisher – 120th
Fisher celebrated his 500th DP World Tour start at the beginning of the season but now faces a difficult task to prolong his epic run. A Ryder Cup winner in 2010, Fisher has not won a tour event since the Tshwane Open 12 years ago. He is playing this season on a Career Money List exemption but will likely need to contend in Korea to secure another year at Europe’s top table.

Marcel Siem – 133rd
Another wily veteran, Siem will make his 594th appearance on the DP World Tour this week. He has had brief periods away from the circuit and had to progress through Q School in 2023. Without a gargantuan effort at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club, the 46-year-old will be required to do the same again.

Pablo Larrazabal – 165th
The fiery Spaniard has had a torrid time this season, including a nun of nine straight cuts. For a 20th consecutive season on the DP World Tour, Larrazabal will need to finish runner-up at the very least. He has good memories in Korea, though, having won the same event three years ago. No pressure, Pablo.

[39
5904,101,56,54,55
post-809859","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-golf","tag-golf","tag-sports","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
