This person put various characters in the game, including Cinnamoroll, Peter Griffin, Hatsune Miku, and more. Obviously, that wouldn\u2019t normally be possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Switch-2-jailbroken-Mario-Kart-World.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Switch-2-jailbroken-Mario-Kart-World.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" class=\"lazyload alignnone size-full wp-image-927741\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t a simple process \u2013 you\u2019re required to own the Nintendo Switch 1 title SmileBasic version 4.4.9 plus over 20 MiB in the software\u2019s save, system software 23.0.1, Node.js 22+ on macOS or Linux, and the console must be on the same reachable network. The method was also uncovered with help from OpenAI, so that will invite some controversy.<\/p>\n<p>Something else to consider is that the jailbreak isn\u2019t permanent access. Users have to go through the same process if the console is turned off.<\/p>\n<p>To be clear, Nintendo isn\u2019t in serious danger yet. With the original Nintendo Switch, the system was fully hackable \u2013 you could do pretty much anything. Piracy became an issue, but that is not currently possible on Nintendo Switch 2.<\/p>\n<p>Nintendo will also very likely be targeting a fix with a future update.
