We’ll have five additional minutes at Besikts … and three at Bournemouth.

ShareFULL TIME: Celtic 1-2 Celta Vigo

No side has progressed in the Europa League after losing their first three games; Celtic are struggling.

Share

“Ruben Amorim, it’s happened again” sing the Bournemouth fans; Amorim sees the funny side.

Share

Here come Bournemouth again, a terrific crossfield pass from Cook taken by Rayan on the move and on the chest, which forces him past Pavlovic. The angle is tightish, but he shoots low, hard and for the far post … only for Torriani to tip around it. That’s a brilliant save.

Share

Updated at 16.51 EDT

GOAL! AFC Bournemouth 3-0 AC Milan (Adli 84)

It’s on the wrong side, but Adli isn’t bothered, waving a left foot at a terrific shot that passes through the top of the wall, which splits, beating Torriani at his near post. What a night this is for Bournemouth.

Share

At Bournemouth, Cook and Adli stand behind a free-kick, left of centre, 22 yards out.

Share

Gosh, more problems for Palace. Strand Larsen, wo wore that assault from Umit, turns to get after a loose ball, and pulls up with no one near him. I don’t like the look of that at all, and I fear we’ll not see him again for a weeks, at best.

Share

Palace want a penalty, Wharton disguising a nice ball into Kamada, which takes him by Djalo. And before he shoot, he has arms around him, falls, and the ref gestures that he should get up. I don’t know, on the one hand, Kamada might’ve stayed u, shot and scored but, on the other, he may has gone down easily but there’s just no way that isn’t a foul.

Share

Allow Instagram content?

This article includes content provided by Instagram. Besiktas’ Umit fouls Strand Larsen and is sent off!

This is an absolutely absurd challenge, Umit leaping, both feet off the ground, and landing on Strand Larsen’s ankle. Easy decision for the ref, and just as Besiktas were taking command, he trips them up.

ShareGOAL! Besiktas 2-2 Crystal Palace (Olaitan 73)

Olaitan nicks away from Kamada and Osorio, just outside the box, moving from centre to right, then swivels into a shot that skips into the far corner – though Benitez was perhaps a little deep. Had he been a bit further off his line, he probably stops that, good finish though it was.

Junior Olaitan celebrates Besiktas’ second goal which levels the scores against Crystal Palace. Photograph: Emrah Gürel/APShare

Updated at 16.53 EDT

Celta are pushing for a third and Celtic, beaten 4-1 at Benfica last time out, have a problem.

ShareWHAT A GOAL! Celtic 1-2 Celta Vigo (Javi Rodriguez 71)

Celta attack down the left and get around the back then, when the cut-back is cleared, Rodriguez again times his arrival perfectly, taking a touch then exploding into a drive, dead straight from 20 yards out, that Johnstone can’t get near. Two in three for Celta!

Javi Rodriguez celebrates his, and Celta Vigo’s, second goal of the night. Photograph: Russell Cheyne/ReutersShare

Updated at 16.41 EDT

GOAL! Celtic 1-1 Celta Vigo (Javi Rodriguez 68)

A free-kick outswung from the right and Rodriguez meets it on the mooch, punishing a header that Johnstone can only help into the net.

Javi Rodriguez heads home Celta Vigo’s equaliser. Photograph: Andrew Milligan/PAShare

Updated at 16.40 EDT

Worse still, Evanilson hurt himself making the challenge. He’s immediately replaced by Rodriguez.

Share

Ach, a poor touch from Tomori means he’s robbed in centrefield, Evanilson winning the ball and Gannon-Doak slipping through for Cook, and he’s in … but the ref pulls play back having blown for a foul. That’s poor from the official, because he should’ve played advantage and I don’t even think Tomori did anything wrong.

Share

It’s hammering it down at Bournemouth. Pre-match, Marco Rose was already talking about Sunday’s three-point banker at Old Trafford, so I’d expect a lot of keep-ball in the remaining half-hour, and actually, here come changes, Adams, Kluivert and Tavernier off, with Cook, Rayan and Toth on.

Share

Back at Parkhead, a cross into the box picks out Scales, who leaps, hangs, heads … on to the top of the bar and over.

ShareOH WHAT A GOAL! Besiktas 1-2 Crystal Palace (Mateta 55)

Disallow that! A ball in behind, inside-left channel, and Mateta gets his body between it and Akdag, who clambers over him but can’t circumnavigate his frame. Even so, though, the finish is unexpected, a rise leathered brutally that beats Nubel at his near post, shrieking into the roof. One game back, one goal, and the corner flag is booted as accurately as it was the last time he scored for Palace, in last season’s Conference League final. Two goals in four minutes and now they lead!

Jean-Philippe Mateta thumps the ball home to put Crystal Palace ahead. Photograph: Ahmad Mora/Getty ImagesMateta (left) celebrates scoring Crystal Palace’s second goal with Jaydee Canvot. Photograph: Kemal Aslan/ReutersShare

Updated at 16.37 EDT

Bournemouth are enjoying themselves, I think, knocking the ball about in midfield and making Milan run. Which I expect they can do as, dreadful though his time at Man United was, Ruben Amorim had the players fit and one of the various reasons they’re so dreadful now is they’re no longer at the same physical level.

ShareYup, it’s a goal.

The ref points to the centre-spot and Palace – who, as we said, are playing well – are level.

ShareGOAL! Besiktas 1-1 Crystal Palace (Pino 51)

Pino has the ball in the net for Palace, turning home adroitly after a ball inside the full-back releases Khalili, who picks him out with a cut-back. The ref immediately disallows it for an offside against Khalaili, but I think this’ll be overturned by VAR – he was on.

Yeremy Pino celebrates after scoring Crystal Palace’s equaliser. Photograph: Ahmad Mora/Getty ImagesShare

Updated at 16.28 EDT

Iago Aspas is still playing for Celta Vigo. Here he is botching a chance to take them into the 2017 Europa League final.

Share

Two changes for Meelan: Bartesaghi and Rabiot for Estupinan and Loftus-Cheek.

Share

We’re away again at Besiktas … and now at Bournemouth.

ShareGOAL! Celtic 1-0 Celta Vigo (Baur 47)

Hassan nashes down the left, cuts back, and Baur meets it on the burst, cracking low and too hard for Radu, who gets a hand to it but can’t keep it out.

Celtic midfielder Mika Baur shoots …. Photograph: Stuart Wallace/ShutterstockAnd scores. Photograph: Andy Buchanan/AFP/Getty ImagesShare

Updated at 16.26 EDT

We’re under way again at Celtic.

Share

Thanks Luke and hi again all. I actually thought Palace played OK in the first half, but they could really do with a result as well as a performance.

Share

Daniel’s back, so my work here is done. Goodbye.

Share

A roundup of some earlier Europa League action for your delectation:

Share

Updated at 16.00 EDT

Besiktas lead Crystal Palace!

Wilfrid Ndidi put Besiktas 1-0 up against Palace – just before HT! (45+2). Which had momentarily escaped me.

Wilfred Ndidi celebrates scoring his Besiktas’ first goal against Crystal Palace. Photograph: Beyza Comert/Anadolu/Getty ImagesShare

Updated at 16.20 EDT

Half-time scores in full:

Bournemouth 2-0 Milan Share

Updated at 15.56 EDT

Finally, it’s half-time in Hoffenheim! So …

Share

Updated at 15.55 EDT

What a half that was for Bournemouth, by the way. Heady, heady times indeed.

Milan were bad. Is Amorim bad? Looks like Amorim is bad.

Share

Hoffenheim are 1-0 up on Lyon, where it seems they are still playing, into a seventh minute of added time …

Share

Updated at 15.53 EDT

Half-time scores

Bournemouth 2-0 Milan Share

Updated at 15.56 EDT

45 min: “Given that his pops Patrick once played for Milan,” writes Peter Oh, “couldn’t Justin Kluivert have toned down his Bournemouth goal celebration to a more solemnly reverential level?”

Patrick Kluivert scores for Ajax against Milan in the European Cup final in 1995. Before he joined Milan. Photograph: Luca Bruno/APShare

Updated at 15.50 EDT

44 min: You could even say Bournemouth are in dreamland. We don’t do cliches here, though.

Share

43 min: Tavernier whips a free-kick dangerously across the Milan goal and it nearly drops in the top corner with Torriani, the youngster, a mere spectator in goal.

Share

42 min: Gannon-Doak with more good work down the right. He beats his man and bends a fine cross into the danger zone. Savage, on commentary, is purring his approval of some good old-fashioned wing play.

Share

40 min: Truffert chases a ball down the left channel for Bournemouth. He does well to gather the ball and cut back inside the defender. Overall, the hosts look far superior to their opponents. Sharper in how they use the ball, quicker to press – you name it.

On the bench, Christian Pulisic and Luka Modric are pictured looking suitably ashen-faced.

Share

39 min: Safe to say the powers-that-be at Old Trafford will not be approaching Ruben Amorim for a reunion any time soon, anyway.

Share

Hoffenheim 0-0 Lyon, Jagiellonia Bialystock 0-1 Anderlecht, Lillestrom 0-3 Real Sociedad, Olympiacos 0-0 Sparta Prague, Viktoria Plzen 0-0 Levski Sofia, Omonia Nicosia 0-1 Benfica.

Besiktas 0-0 Crystal Palace and Celtic 0-0 Celta Vigo, also.

Share

Updated at 15.38 EDT

Latest score: Lillestrom 0-3 Real Sociedad. Sergio Gómez has two.

ShareGoal! 32 min – Bournemouth 2-0 Milan (Tavernier pen)

It’s there! Marcus Tavernier strokes in the second penalty of the night. Milan are all over the shop, down to 10, a callow 21-year-old keeper now in nets. This could be a cricket score!

Marcus Tavernier strokes his penalty goalwards … Photograph: David Cliff/EPAAnd sends Milan replacement keeper Lorenzo Torriani the wrong way and doubles Bournemouth’s lead. Photograph: Dylan Martinez/ReutersTavernier celebrates. Photograph: Alex Pantling/Uefa/Getty ImagesShare

Updated at 15.58 EDT

30 min: The replacement goalkeeper, Lorenzo Torriani, comes on. But they haven’t taken anyone off! This is funny. Torriani runs off again. And they make a change: Omari Hutchinson is hooked by Amorim, who appears apologetic.

Share

Updated at 15.35 EDT

28 min: Red card for Milan! Mike Maignan

Maignan pushes Tyler Adams in the face at the resulting corner … and is immediately shown a red card! It’s being checked by the VAR. Astonishing scenes. Is the red card going to be confirmed? Is it a penalty? Will football ever be the same again?

The red card is confirmed. Maignan is asked to leave the field, having been loitering around for a while. Fikayo Tomori of Milan looks furious. Maignan wanders off, and we’ll have a new goalie in place for another penalty …

Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan (second left) looks over at Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams who is on the ground clutching his face. Milan have not had a sniff.

Share

Updated at 15.28 EDT

24 min: Besiktas 0-0 Palace, Celtic 0-0 Celta Vigo are also latest scores.

It really is that simple.

Taylan Bulut of Besiktas is challenged by Jaydee Canvot of Crystal Palace. Photograph: Ahmad Mora/Getty ImagesShare

Updated at 15.26 EDT

21 min: Kluivert gets another chance: this time, Milan try to play out from the back, but they fluff it up. It’s a good sight of goal but straight at the goalie, Mike Maignan.

Amorim out!

Share

Updated at 15.22 EDT

20 min: Hoffenheim 0-0 Lyon, Jagiellonia Bialystock 0-0 Anderlecht, Lillestrom 0-0 Real Sociedad, Olympiacos 0-0 Sparta Prague, Viktoria Plzen 0-0 Levski Sofia.

Share

19 min: Bournemouth are pushing.
