England scrum-half Jack van Poortvliet has signed a new multi-year deal with Prem club Leicester Tigers.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has made 118 first-team appearances since graduating from the club’s academy in 2019.<\/p>\n

“I love playing rugby here,” Van Poortvliet, a title winner with Leicester in 2022, told the club website., external<\/a> <\/p>\n

“I have my best mates here and I believe that we’ve got a group of lads that we can do great things with. I want to be in a place that I love playing for and I believe can win trophies.<\/p>\n

“It was a pretty easy decision to stay. I love it here and long may that continue.”<\/p>\n

Van Poortvliet has played 27 times for his country, although he missed the 2023 World Cup in France after sustaining an ankle injury in a tournament warm-up game.<\/p>\n

He has an England contract for 2026-27<\/a> and will hope to play a big role in England’s 2027 World Cup campaign in Australia.<\/p>\n

Leicester head coach Geoff Parling said: “Jack is a brilliant player, developed through our academy, and an important leader in our group.<\/p>\n
