Vincent Kompany has been \u2060taken \u2060to \u200bhospital after the Bayern Munich coach felt unwell during training \u2060on Friday.<\/p>\n

The Belgian, \u200bwho \u200chad been \u200cnursing a virus in \u200crecent days, was coaching his team before feeling unwell and being taken to \u200chospital.<\/p>\n

The Bundesliga leaders, who drew 2-2 \u200bat home against Arsenal<\/a> in the Champions League on Wednesday, are due \u200bto \u200btravel to \u200bFreiburg on Sunday. Kompany was on the bench for the Arsenal game despite the viral infection.<\/p>\n

Bayern said on their website: \u201cVincent Kompany required medical \u2060attention after collapsing during a training session for \u200bBayern\u2019s reserve team. The \u200chead coach of the professional squad had been observing \u200cthe second team\u2019s session.<\/p>\n

\u201cKompany is currently undergoing a thorough examination in the hospital and will remain under medical care. For the time being, his coaching staff will manage all training \u200cand match-related operations.\u201c<\/p>\n

Max Eberl, Bayern\u2019s sporting director, said: \u201cVincent Kompany\u2019s health is our top priority. At Bayern, we will do everything \u200bwe \u200bcan to ensure he \u200bmakes a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n
