Jadon Sancho wants more money to quit Manchester United after holding talks with Roma about a potential move.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sancho has rejected a switch to Roma<\/a>\u00a0despite reports\u00a0Man United<\/a>\u00a0were prepared to sell him for around \u00a320million.\u00a0<\/p>\n The 25-year-old, who is out of contract in June 2026, returned to Old Trafford this summer after Chelsea decided against signing him permanently following his loan spell at Stamford Bridge last season. <\/p>\n Sancho<\/a> is believed to be on around \u00a3300,000 a week with Ruben Amorim<\/a>\u2019s side, with interested parties struggling to meet his wage demands. <\/p>\n However, former Old Trafford chief scout Mick Brown told\u00a0Football Insider\u00a0Man United are confident of agreeing a transfer for Sancho<\/a>\u00a0before the window closes on 1 September.\u00a0<\/p>\n This article contains exclusive comment from\u00a0Keith Wyness<\/a>, former Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen CEO. <\/p>\n Football Insider revealed on 17 August Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho must leave Man United<\/a> before they can move for their ambitious targets. <\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n It comes after the 20-time English champions have been priced out of a deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, with the Seagulls reluctant to sell him this late in the window. <\/p>\n Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, Wyness said: \u201cI spoke to somebody involved in the transaction just the other day and they said, yes, it is the size of his remuneration at Man United that is the problem. <\/p>\n \u201cWhy would a player give up that sort of level of contract? It\u2019s very rare that you see that happen, particularly in terms of the gap right now between the valuation that Roma have as opposed to what he\u2019s getting paid at the moment. <\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s going to have to be some serious financial engineering to get that done. <\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if there\u2019s a way that they can come up with some formula of extending his contract payments. There\u2019s got to be some clever way. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve often looked at very smart ways to try and extend contracts to lessen the amount paid. There are different ways that you can go about it. <\/p>\n \u201cThere are different financial tools available now to try and do these sort of things.
