The SmartAir Boost Radiator Fan<\/a> is now up for grabs at Yimbly – an online marketplace owned by this publication’s parent company, Reach Plc – for \u00a345, down from \u00a349.99 with the code AUTUMN10. The device uses four energy-efficient fans to redirect warm air from a radiator into the room, helping distribute heat more evenly and potentially reducing the time it takes for a space to warm up.<\/p>\n

The portable device can be placed on most radiator types without installation and features two fan speeds, alongside manual and automatic modes. It can also be used plugged into the mains or cordless, with up to 14 hours of battery life on its lower setting.<\/p>\n

Another handy feature is its ability to direct warm air towards a clothes airer, potentially helping laundry dry faster. It also has a handy digital display showing battery life, fan speed and radiator temperature.<\/p>\n

Measuring just 41cm long, the compact gadget can be moved between rooms and includes an automatic safety shut-off if the radiator becomes too hot. The manufacturer claims it costs less than half a penny an hour to operate, although this calculation is based on October 2022 electricity prices and excludes the cost of running the central heating.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, if shoppers wanted a standalone heater they could move from room to room, Morphy Richards has the HeatFlux Bedside Ceramic Fan Heater in black<\/a> for \u00a349.99. Described as both compact and powerful, it is designed to take the cold chill out of the air and offers three temperature settings to choose from.<\/p>\n

However, the SmartAir Boost Radiator Fan<\/a> has racked up high ratings on Yimbly. For example, this person said: \u201cThis fan is a fantastic piece of kit, we have it set on automatic, although you can have it set manually, we are really impressed with its performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: “Really warmed the room up in a short time. It was so warm. Slight noise, resembling when you have an electric fire on and hear the buzzing sound. But overall, a really good purchase and would definitely recommend it.”<\/p>\n

A third said: \u201cIt’s great – our living room feels much warmer with the heat being directed towards us.\u201d Some did comment on the size, for example this person said: \u201cGreat for warming a bedroom or another small room, for a large room you would require one for each radiator but nevertheless, good for dispersing the heat.\u201d Another added: \u201cNot as good as it says in adverts.
