Liverpool<\/a> and Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a> are aligned in their thinking regarding a January transfer, with a third source now confirming the news.<\/p>\n

Alexander-Arnold left Liverpool under a dark cloud two summers ago, and the move hasn\u2019t worked out for any party.<\/p>\n

Right-back has become a problem position for Liverpool since the player\u2019s departure, though loanee Ronald Araujo is doing a fine job of serving up a solution this season.<\/p>\n

Alexander-Arnold barely plays in Madrid, who saw fit to sign a new right-back over the summer in Denzel Dumfries. Jose Mourinho currently selects neither, with Federico Valverde his preferred option at present.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a situation that has led to rampant speculation Alexander-Arnold could return to Anfield, and potentially as early as January.<\/p>\n

However, reports over the past few days are all saying the same thing \u2013 there\u2019s no desire on either end to forge a reunion.<\/p>\n

Neither Liverpool or Trent Alexander-Arnold want reunion\u2026 yet<\/p>\n

Firstly, journalist Pete O\u2019Rourke declared Liverpool are \u2018not interested\u2019 in signing the 28-year-old<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That was followed by Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague, claiming Alexander-Arnold doesn\u2019t want to leave Real Madrid<\/a> so soon anyway.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, not in January,\u201d Balague said on talkSPORT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat he\u2019s feeling right now is \u2018Okay, it\u2019s not my time, but it will be my time, I will prepare for my time\u2019. That\u2019s how he\u2019s taking the whole thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there are two ahead of him in the same position (Valverde and Dumfries) and in fact, Eder Militao was also used as a right back against Sevilla. So is he fourth choice? He\u2019s certainly third it seems.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut he\u2019s not down, he\u2019s been told by Mourinho to keep at it, he will have his moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been unfair that when he has played from the start, he has played in the midfield because of the absentees.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut in any case, he\u2019s got to keep fighting and he wants to succeed at Real Madrid, so he\u2019s got no intention of leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n

And per a fresh update form Football Insider<\/a>, it can now be confirmed Alexander-Arnold doesn\u2019t want to re-join Liverpool any time soon.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning, they stated: \u2018Trent Alexander-Arnold has no imminent plans to explore a return to Liverpool as he fights for his place at Real Madrid.\u2019<\/p>\n

The report concluded: \u2018He is unlikely to ever rule out such a move, but remains part of Jose Mourinho\u2019s plans for now and is under contract until 2031.\u2019<\/p>\n
