{"id":815819,"date":"2026-10-27T20:58:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-27T20:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/815819\/"},"modified":"2026-10-27T20:58:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-27T20:58:09","slug":"william-blair-opens-dallas-office-with-ubs-private-wealth-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/815819\/","title":{"rendered":"William Blair Opens Dallas Office With UBS Private Wealth Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Willliam Blair has opened an office in Dallas with the addition of a four-person team from UBS Wealth Management USA\u2019s private wealth business, according to an announcement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ryan Berube and Allen Abney, who led the Navigate Wealth Partners team at UBS, registered with William Blair on October 20, federal records show. A Forbes ranking this year listed Navigate Wealth Partners with about $2.1 billion in client assets. A person close to their former firm put the pair\u2019s assets closer to $660 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">William Blair\u2019s announcement did not mention the team\u2019s assets. A spokesperson did not return a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The advisors moved to William Blair along with client associates Jeannette Maddox and Ben Meyer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berube and Abney joined UBS in December 2015 as Credit Suisse shuttered its U.S. brokerage business.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berube had joined Credit Suisse in 2008 after working at JPMorgan Chase and U.S. Trust. Abney joined Credit Suisse in 2009 after a career in politics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berube won an Olympic gold medal anchoring the U.S. men\u2019s 4\u00d7200-meter freestyle relay at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Abney served as a White House spokesperson during the George W. Bush administration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berube said in a statement that they were drawn to William Blair\u2019s \u201ccombination of personal accountability and firmwide resources.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">William Blair had $85.9 billion in assets and 138 advisors at the end of September. Founded in 1935, the firm is owned by 233 employee equity partners.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UBS had 5,644 advisors in the Americas at the end of June, down from 5,773 a year earlier, and almost $1.24 trillion in fee-generating assets, according to its second-quarter report. After losing advisors managing $28 billion in collective assets through the first half of 2026, UBS<a href=\"https:\/\/www.advisorhub.com\/ubs-wealth-profit-jumps-46-execs-forecast-easing-advisor-attrition\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> predicted attrition would slow<\/a> in the second half of the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wirehouse\u2019s Swiss parent bank is expected to report results on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                  Like this article?
