It\u2019s been almost two-and-a-half years since we saw Gervonta Davis register a win, but fight fans are keen for \u2018Tank\u2019 to make his return and attempt to reclaim world honours.<\/p>\n

Now, heavyweight legend Mike Tyson has revealed who he would like to see Davis take on, once he has returned to the sport.<\/p>\n

Davis knocked out Frank Martin in June 2024 in his most recent triumph, with a draw against Lamont Roach Jr being his only outing since then, due to inactivity brought on by legal issues away from boxing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The lay-off has seen Davis demoted to WBA \u2018champion-in-recess\u2019, whilst Floyd Schofield has since claimed the vacant WBA lightweight world title in his absence. Yet, it remains to be seen whether Davis will target Schofield and his old belt<\/a> or if he will move up to super-lightweight ahead of his mooted early 2027 comeback.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Whoo\u2019s House Podcast<\/a>, \u2018Iron Mike\u2019 praised the current crop of American fighters, but admitted that he would love to see them fight one another.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that the fighters now \u2013 the Shakur Stevenson\u2019s, all of these guys, Gervonta Davis, Keyshawn [Davis] \u2013 they are great fighters. They just need to fight each other!<\/p>\n

\u201cRyan Garcia and all of these guys, they are great fighters.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tyson went on to name four-division world champion Shakur Stevenson as the man he wants to see \u2018Tank\u2019 face.<\/p>\n

\u201cTank is a great fighter, he has just got to fight the other great fighters. Him and Shakur Stevenson is going to be a great fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
