{"id":818389,"date":"2026-10-30T06:40:23","date_gmt":"2026-10-30T06:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/818389\/"},"modified":"2026-10-30T06:40:23","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T06:40:23","slug":"how-to-file-claims-in-533m-prescription-drug-settlements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/818389\/","title":{"rendered":"How To File Claims In $533M Prescription Drug Settlements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Several major drug manufacturers agreed to settle class-action lawsuits accusing them of violating antitrust and consumer protection laws by working together to raise prescription drug prices. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genericdrugsendpayersettlement.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The settlements<\/a> involve Apotex and Heritage, Sandoz, and Sun\/Taro,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/2026\/10\/28\/can-you-claim-money-in-this-prescription-drug-settlement-see-here\/92477829007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">USA Today<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Consumers and third-party payers may qualify if they purchased certain generic medications in the US between Friday, May 1, 2009, and Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019.\u00a0The settlements cover a wide range of prescription drugs, including tablets, creams, ointments, and injectable medications.<\/p>\n<p>The drug manufacturers have denied wrongdoing but agreed to the settlements worth a combined $533 million.\u00a0The amount each eligible person receives will depend on the number of valid claims, along with deductions for expenses like attorneys&#8217; fees and litigation costs.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the medications included in the settlements are:<\/p>\n<p>AlbuterolAmphetaminesAzithromycinGabapentinLevothyroxineMethadone HCL<\/p>\n<p>The medications are covered in various dosages.
