Amid links to a massive return to boxing, Anthony Joshua has been thrown another lifeline to a long-standing grudge fight with Tyson Fury.<\/p>\n

Stll tied to a lucrative fight with Jake Paul<\/a> in his return to the ring, former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua<\/a> is currently locked in talks to fight the Ohio star.<\/p>\n

And dividing opinion with the current sweepstakes to fight him, Joshua has been backed to fight Paul later this year<\/a> by one of the sport\u2019s best analysts.<\/p>\n

But a veteran promoter has now offered Joshua and Tyson Fury<\/a> the chance to finally settle their grudge in an overdue fight as soon as next year.<\/p>\n

Eddie Hearn reveals plan to book Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury in 2026<\/p>\n

Dealing with a lengthy headache to book the all-British showdown between Joshua and Morecambe veteran Fury, Matchroom Boxing leader Eddie Hearn<\/a> revealed he has not given up on the pairing just yet.<\/p>\n

In fact, as soon as 2026, Hearn claimed he hoped Joshua and Fury would finally be booked to share the ring together \u2014 in his dream clash of the annum.<\/p>\n

\u201cAJ (Anthony Joshua) [versus] Jake Paul \u2014 I\u2019m only joking,\u201d Hearn told IFL TV when asked which fight he wanted to book next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAJ [versus] Tyson Fury. That\u2019s the fight \u2014 there are a few fights. AJ against Tyson Fury, \u2018Boots\u2019 (Jaron Ennis<\/a>) against Vergil Ortiz; another fight that I\u2019d love to make. And then lots of others. <\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Sugar\u2019 Nunez against Emmanuel Navarette, Diego Pacheco against Canelo Alvarez \u2014 or Hamzah Sheeraz<\/a>. I like that fight as well. \u2018Bam\u2019 (Rodriguez) against (Naoya) Inoue. I also like (Dmitry) Bivol<\/a> against (Jai) Opetaia<\/a>. I think that\u2019s a tremendous fight.\u201d <\/p>\n

However, given their recent history, a pairing between Joshua and Fury may be more difficult to sanction than ever.<\/p>\n

Tyson Fury rips Anthony Joshua over \u2018joke\u2019 fight links<\/p>\n

Recently weighing in on Joshua\u2019s potential fight with Paul, former undisputed WBC heavyweight champion Fury was less than pleased by those links.<\/p>\n

Namely, the long-time nemesis of Joshua described the prospective clash as a \u201cjoke\u201d<\/a> \u2014 as well as a mooted clash between Joshua and fellow Olympic gold medal winner Andre Ward \u2014 who expressed his interest in a retirement U-turn.<\/p>\n

\u201cJokes how many people wanting (sic) AJ (Anthony Joshua) now,\u201d Fury posted in a now-deleted comment on social media.<\/p>\n
