{"id":821352,"date":"2026-11-02T03:28:08","date_gmt":"2026-11-02T03:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/821352\/"},"modified":"2026-11-02T03:28:08","modified_gmt":"2026-11-02T03:28:08","slug":"binance-hack-users-withdraw-3-6bn-after-record-crypto-heist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/821352\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance hack: Users withdraw $3.6bn after record crypto heist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Binance customers withdrew a net $3.64bn (\u00a32.72bn) of assets from the world&#8217;s largest cryptocurrency exchange as it reopened on Sunday following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cwg7xp8kx4v5o\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a record hack last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The firm suspended all transactions in the wake of the incident, which impacted $6.3bn worth of digital assets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Major organisations, including the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/ck9dz3v7z7v3o\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">accused North Korea of being responsible for the cyber-attack<\/a>, which is said to be the largest hack in history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The company said it has covered around 95% of the assets stolen in the breach, but that the remaining amount may take longer to source.
