The little brother of Tadej Poga\u010dar\u2018s favourite Trenta 3K Carbon helmet, the new Trenta 2 gains features from the Trenta 3K, itself updated just over a year ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MET claims improved ventilation from the Trenta 2\u2019s 24 vents and internal channels, the same count as for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/first-look-friday\/tadej-pogacar-met-trenta-3k-carbon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trenta 3K Carbon<\/a>. It says that there is a smaller area of contact between the helmet and the rider\u2019s head than for the original Trenta, which also improves air circulation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a wide range of adjustability, with the rear cradle offering fine tuning of the vertical and occipital fit. The outer vents are positioned to provide docking for the arms of sunglasses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/met-trenta-2-mips-road-cycling-helmet-M169-8-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-996838\"\/>MET says there&#8217;s increased rear protection from the original Trenta and a reduced head contact area for the Trenta 2, helping to improve cooling. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new helmet includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/what-is-mips\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MIPS Air Node Pro<\/a> rotational impact protection inside its dual-density EPS shell. MET says it has extended its rear coverage and the fully wrapped polycarbonate shell should increase durability and avoid gouging of the EPS foam.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with the minimalist MIPS, MET says its Air Lite straps also keep weight low. It claims a 260g weight for a size-M helmet, the same as the Trenta 3K Carbon, despite the 3K&#8217;s carbon inner shell rather than the Trenta 2\u2019s EPS ribs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/met-trenta-2-mips-road-cycling-helmet-M169-ecom-3-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-996837\"\/>Despite an EPS shell rather than carbon, MET claims the Trenta 2 weighs the same as the pricier Trenta 3K Carbon. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/safest-road-mtb-helmet\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Virginia Tech<\/a> safety rating for the Trenta 2 yet, but the Trenta 3K Carbon received a five-star rating after its refresh in 2025, making it one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-road-bike-helmets\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">best road cycling helmets<\/a> in its independent safety assessment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MET Trenta 2 helmet is priced at \u00a3280 \/ $350 \/ \u20ac300 and is available in four colours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MET has updated its Trenta road cycling helmet.
